The Chautauqua Reader

The Chautauqua Reader Committee responsibilities include:

• Providing tent and workshop locations for inclusion in reader
• Providing community information for reader, including a welcome from the Mayor and/or project director and a brief article about the community

The Chautauqua Reader carries feature articles on the “Bright Dreams, Hard Times” theme written by the scholars, provides workshop descriptions, outlines the schedule of events, contains two pages of community information including your community schedule, has one page of information about the Nebraska Humanities Council, and presents brief biographies of the Chautauqua scholars. The Reader will also provide background information on the history of Chautauqua in KS and NE, the radio program offered as entertainment, and a link to website with suggestions for further readings. About 1,500 Readers will be shipped to your community.
