In the Dust Bowl of the 1930s, Farm Security Administration (FSA) photographers captured unforgettable images of human hope and despair in the face of great hardship. In the late 1970s Nebraska photographer Bill Ganzel set out to locate, interview, and re-photograph Dust Bowl survivors. He covered all the Great Plains states – in other words, the Dust Bowl region – to produce a book and an extensive exhibition, Of Dust Bowl Descent.   This traveling exhibit will be in your community through the Chautauqua’s duration.
